About the 16 personality types test

The concept of 16 personality types originates from the work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. It was further developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers, who created the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) methodology.

The basic principle is simple: every person has natural preferences across four dimensions - how they gain energy (E/I), how they perceive information (S/N), how they make decisions (T/F), and how they approach life (J/P). The combination of these preferences creates 16 personality types, each with its own strengths and unique perspective on the world.

The 16 types typology is used in career counseling, team development, coaching, and education. It helps people better understand themselves and others - why they feel natural in some situations and not in others.

Our test is based on Jung's typology and adapted for the Czech environment. Based on 60 questions, it determines your personality type and provides practical information for everyday life and career.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 16 personality types test?

The test is based on Jung's typology and MBTI methodology. It classifies you into one of 16 types based on four dimensions: how you gain energy, how you perceive the world, how you make decisions, and how you approach life.

How long does the test take?

The test contains 60 questions and most people complete it in 8-10 minutes. For each question, you choose between two options based on what feels closer to you. There are no right or wrong answers.

Is the test free?

Yes, basic results are completely free. You'll learn your four-letter type and basic description. Extended results with detailed analysis, career recommendations, and relationship tips are available for a small fee.

What is the difference between the 16 types test and the RIASEC test?

The 16 types test focuses on how you think, communicate, and make decisions - it describes your personality type. RIASEC focuses on career interests and helps find suitable professions. Both tests complement each other.

Can my type change?

Your core type remains relatively stable throughout life, but the degree of preferences may shift with age and experience. That's why we recommend retaking the test after significant life changes.

Is one type better than another?

No. No type is better or worse. Each of the 16 types has its own unique strengths and natural talents. The goal of the test is self-knowledge, not evaluation.
