What is the enneagram?

The enneagram is a model of nine personality types describing distinct patterns of motivation, fear, and behavior. It is based on a typology developed by Oscar Ichazo and Claudio Naranjo.

Unlike typologies built around observable behavior, the enneagram focuses on what is underneath it - the deep motivation and fear behind the action. Two people can act the same way for completely different reasons.

Our test is an original 45-item questionnaire (5 per type). Beyond your primary type, it identifies your wing - the neighboring type on the enneagram circle that shades your personality and explains why people who share a primary type can behave so differently.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the test take?

About 7 minutes. You will answer 45 short statements, choosing how well each one describes you.

What is the enneagram?

The enneagram is a model of nine personality types describing your core motivation and the fear driving your behavior. The test identifies your primary type and closest wing.

What is a wing?

A wing is one of the two types next to yours on the enneagram circle that blends with your primary type and adds shading to it. No one is purely one type - the wing explains why two people with the same primary type can act differently.

Is the result a scientific diagnosis?

No. The enneagram is a popular self-discovery typology, not a validated psychometric method. Treat the result as a map of motivations and a prompt for reflection - comparisons between types are approximate.

Is my data confidential?
